Well, haven't had much to add as of late. Work has been kind of hecktic due to a change in our debit card/ATM system that nearly disabled the whole credit union for a time. Still working out the bugs on that one. Had some people over a couple times this weekend. Saturday and Sunday John, amanda paul and John's brother (sat night only) came over and we played games while watching '80s music videos. This weekend I'm going to the Kentucky Durby so maybe I'll have some stories when i return from there. If you haven't seen Hitchhikers Guide the the Galaxy yet...you are missing a great movie. And speaking of movies...i'm trying to get a part time job at the movie theater again. I know i said i'd never go back to the theater...but i'm just looking for one or two shifts a week to supliment my income and witht the free movies i figure i'll save a whole lot more. =========================================================
Man oh man, my day could have gotten worse...but not by much. It all started when i got pulled over for speeding. I was doing 38 in a 25 zone and got tagged. Thankfully the cop only wrote me up for 5mph over the limit...but that's still probably going to be like $100. Then i get to work and the underlings start right in on me with complaints about each other. I don't know why but latly it seems like they're really going after each other's necks. Then, becasue wednesday is the only day Saturn is open after 5 I took my car in for my free oil change...after being talked into a couple of things i propably didn't need...i proceded to sit for 2 hours...TWO HOURS. Meanwhile, the seemed to have forgotten about me. Seriously, the girl who took my information came up to me a hour and a half into my wait and asked me who i was and what i was waiting for. And for my troubles what did i get? $5 off my $115 dollar bill. Gee, Thanks guys...glad i singed up for the lifetime FREE oil changes instead of taking more money off the car. Eh...i'm just not in a very good mood right now. Maybe tomorrow will be better. I only have a half day at work. =========================================================
So last Tuesday night Kim calls me and says, "I'm gonna be in town tomarrow night if you want to go out and drink with me." I say sure and that she should give me a call when she gets in. I sit by my phone all night, ALL NIGHT...alas, no call. I'm so sad. But that was made up for over the weekend as Paul, Aaron, Amanda and I set out from the zoo to East Lansing where more of the Fury crew partied it up while watching the basketball games. I'm not much into sports, but it was still fun to hang out with everyone. Played some hacky sack and ate some very good ice cream. This weekend a bunch of us are going to play paint ball, so i might be to sore monday to post again. but i'm sure that will be a funny story after the fact. =========================================================
So I think it's about time i talk about the links to the left. Fill everyone in on the other sites they can go to from here. So in no certain order... Dave's LiveJournal - Dave has been a good friend of mine for a while now. We met while working at the Kalamazoo 10 and quickly learned we have a lot in common. He is now a teacher up in Messick (up near Cadillac) and has just moved into his first house with his girlfriend. There is some interesting stuff on his page about teaching, living in Cadillac, and now being a home owner. John's LiveJournal - John is also an old friend of mine from the theater. He became so fed up with Goodrich Quality Theaters passing him over for promotions that he left and went to Kohl's. He soon became fed up with Kohl's and went back to Goodrich. He now lives up in Grand Haven. There's more to the story then that, but if your interested then you should ask him and maybe he'll post it on his page. It'd be the first new post in a while though. Kat's Live Journal - Ok...I do know some people who have never worked at the Kalamazoo 10...but Kat is not one of them. We worked to geather quite often and I always though she was really cool. She says that i never hit on her when i had the chance, but i did...all the time. And she always turned me down. But she's still cool and her livejournal is full on interesting everyday stuff. Amanda's Blog - Amanda never worked at the movie theater, though she now knows almost everyone that's worth knowing that did. I met her while working at Kohl's and she is dateing my friend John (see above). Amanda can be cool sometimes, but seems to like putting people down. She made me cry just the other day as a matter of fact. But you should read her blog anyway. The Fury Board - Because alot of people working at the Kalamazoo 10 at the time came from the same school and were friends already, a large click quickly emerged. I was lucky enough to be one of the few from outside the pre-exsiting group to be welcomed in and we all formed "The Fury". Over time members of the Fury have gone to school, moved to other cities/states, Or just plain droped out of the public eye. But thanks to the Fury Web Board we can now all keep in touch. Share news, tell each other when someone's coming to town or make plans to get togeather. This site is not blocked to non-fury members, and makes for some very interesting reading. Yeah, John, this post was usless being that you probably already know what everything was. =========================================================
So apparently, if i do my updates from home (my parents house, not mine, i do not yet have internet) then it takes pitas like a week to update. But if i do it from work then it updates right away...go figure. Oh, and don't worry about the fact that i'm doing this from work. I'm on my lunch and still have a whole...oh shit, I got to go. =========================================================
So apparently Pitas takes like 4 or 5 days to update my page every time i make a new entry. This would be very annoying if i thought anyone actualy read this page. I guess it just doesn't get to me that much, though. I need to force myself to write something that i can draw up in comic book form. I think part of what keeps me from writing is knowing that i would then have to force myself to draw it. I want to get out a new book. Though i think of myself as such a lousy writer that it's hard to get myself to work on a project. Sorry, I didn't mean to make the topic of this post "How Lazy Am I?" It just kinda worked out that way. =========================================================
CAR ACCIDENTS So while driving down the road this week i decided i wanted to be in the other lane. I put my turn signal on, waited a second, didn't see anyone out of the corner of my eye and started to merge...that's when i did see a car to my right and heard a loud horn. I stoped going over..sped up to get in front of him and then merged. I thought the whole incident was behind me and kept moving I was wrong. He got over in the other lane, sped past me, and got over right in front of me (nearly forcing me off the road this time) and forced me to stop in the middle of the street. Then he got out of his car screaming and shouting profanities at me. Now, in this day and age you never know aboot strangers. I thought i would end up a fatality on the 11 o'clock news. I appologized almost in tears, but the guy kept shouting at me through my window. I was really afraid for my life at this moment and thought aboot calling the cops. He then went back to his car and drove off. I drove to my destination quite shaken up, but otherwise alive. I hope i don't "run into" him again...metiphoricaly or physicaly. =========================================================
3/11/05 Hello. Yes, this is the first of hopefuly many new posts for all my adoring fan to read. There's alot going on in my life right now...for one, i just moved into my first house. That's right, i bought a house. I'm working at a credit union now. It's alright. can't talk much aboot the crazy things that happen there, confidentiality and all, but maybe now and then i'll slip in a tale or two. Those of you who have been to the site before might notice that there are no longer any pictures here. The site that i was storing them on cost money, so when the renewal came up, i decided to just let it slip. Maybe one day i'll start doing the comic again, but probably not for a while. Like I said, I'm hopeing to keep up with this site from now on with a post at least every week or so, but you know how i am with commitment, which is why i'm not currently in a relationship. I'll try to have an actually topic starting with the next post. ========================================================= |
